1. The Guardian and Observer are owned by a trust set up in the 1930s to protect the independence of the Guardian newspaper and to keep safe the newspaper’s values.
2. the idea of press freedom means that the press are the most of all the ‘old’ media. Newspapers can ask on political issues and journalists are expected to be highly critical of those higher above them in power. After a long campaign by The Guardian, as having hacked the voicemails of a young murder victim in a way that her parents thought she was still alive.
3. Online newspapers will use the traditional language of newspapers. they use headlines, copy, photography but also that television through video and that of social media through readers comments on blogs, or each other’s comments.
4. The New Review has more funny opinion pieces, interviews and reviews of theatre computer games, dance and cinema. This appeals to the consumer. The Sports section covers mostly male sports with a bias to football and rugby union as they are more popular than most other sports. The magazine contains much lifestyle material such as fashion, gardening, interior design, As well as more serious pieces and interviews.
5. Reading articles by journalists and responding with tweets, Instagram comments, or comments on the website may replace real interactions with people, for some readers and The Observer similarly has a set of social and political attitudes.
